ORIGIN/HABITAT: Endemic to southeastern Thailand. Plants grow in the low elevation forests of the Chanthaburi district as well as on nearby islands. They are usually found in tall trees about 60 ft. (20 m) above the ground. — Source: Charles Baker
INFLORESCENCE: Short. Several inflorescences are borne at nodes near the apex of leafless stems.
FLOWERS: 2-4 per inflorescence. The glossy flowers are 1.6-2.0 in. (4-5 cm) across and last 5 weeks. Sepals and petals are pale chrome yellow. The margins of the deeper yellow lip are crisped and the base of the throat is marked with 2 purple blotches. Blossoms have a nice form and good substance, but color is variable.
