The fringed Coelogyne. Long lasting yellow flowers with white or pale yellow lip, marked brown – soft, musc-like fragrance. Plants have a creeping habit and make wonderful specimen plants.
ORIGIN/HABITAT: Northeast India, northern Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, southwest China. In India, plants are found in the Khasia Hills and Manipur. In Thailand, plants are found in the northwest mountains of on Doi Inthanond and Doi Suthep. In Vietnam, plants have been found near Dalat, and they are said to be common from Finnom to Bao Lac. In China, plants grow on trees and rocks in forests at 1650-5750 ft. (500-1750 m) in the provinces of Yunnan, Tibet, Guangxi, Guangdong, and Jiangxi. — Source: Charles Baker
