ORIGIN/HABITAT: Africa. Angola, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Ghana, Guinea, Ivory Coast Kenya, Liberia, Malawi, Mozambique, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Tanzania, Uganda, Zaire, Zambia, and Zimbabwe. In Kenya, plants are found in forests of all coastal districts, on Maungu hill, and near Nairobi at Thika. Plants usually grow on trees but are occasionally found on rocks. They grow in open woodlands as well as in coastal forests and forests along rivers at elevations from near sea level to near 4900 ft. (0-1500 m). — Source: Charles Baker
