Brazil A simply gorgeous combination of bright red bracts and lilac purple berry-liked flowers. A beautiful plant for the shade with its soft, glossy light green foliage and stately tall flower spikes with vibrant berries. This form of Aechmea weilbachii has green in stead of purple sepals contrasting against the vivid red flower stalk. Reasonably hardy but best grown in warm gardens with dappled sunlight or full shade.
AECHMEA – Aechmeas are among the most beautiful of all Bromeliads. Large, colourful blooms rise above the urn-shaped rosette of leaves and last for a long time. Hardy plants and well adapted to household conditions. They prefer moderate to bright light and frequent watering.
