Ordering Information and Conditions

Plants sent by Courier are sent bare root (out of pot) except when grown on a small mount and are usually not in flower.

HOW TO ORDER:

REQUEST A QUOTE  –  RECEIVE CONFIRMATION  –  MAKE PAYMENT  –  ORDER IS DISPATCHED 

1. Minimum courier order is R250 (excluding courier fees)
2. You can now use the Request a quote function or add plants as you browse through the new Catalogue
3. When availability is confirmed and courier costs receives, complete payment and send proof of payment to info@orchidssa.co.za
4. Plants will  usually be sent within a week to two weeks of payment. You will be notified of date of arrival and given a Tracking Number.

 

TERMS AND CONDITIONS 

  • This listing supersedes and cancels all previous lists, catalogues and offerings
  • Plants are sent bare root (out of pot) except when grown on a small mount or in small pots
  • Most of the small air plants are sent on a mount
  • Plants are usually not in flower when sent by courier order
  • All orchid plants are flowering size except when mentioned differently
  • Availability of plants is subject to prior sale and offers may be withdrawn at any time.
  • Unless you indicate otherwise, we will substitute plants that are out of stock with similar plants.
  • Pictures on the web are a guideline only and not an indication of the size of plant you will receive. Variety in seedlings and cultivars of species occur.
  • When ordering keep in mind that the variety in a grex of seedlings is infinite and a picture only illustrates one clone of the grex. In the case of divisions or meristems (clones), the flowers will be the same as the one in the picture.

 

ORDERS FROM OTHER COUNTRIES / INTERNATIONAL

Due to many administration obstacles we have suspended orders to other countries until such time where we can have a more stream-lined system in obtaining Phyto, Cites etc.

HANDLING AND DELIVERY

  • Orders are dispatched by Globeflight Couriers (door to door service). This service is fast and effective and places the least strain on the plants.
  • A delivery address as well as contact telephone number is needed.
  • We take great care in selecting and packing your order. If there are any complaints, contact us within a week of receiving your plants. We guarantee that all plants leave our nursery in good condition.
  • Once they have left the nursery they are the responsibility of the Courier Company. We have no control over courier treatment and damaged shipments should be reported and claimed from Globeflight

COURIER AND PACKING FEES:
  • R185  for orders up to R500
  • R225 for orders R500 – R1 000
  • R275 for orders R1 000 – R2 000
  • R375 for orders R2 000 – R3 500
  • R475 for orders R3 500 – R5 000
  • R600 for orders R5 000 – R10 00
  • For orders over R10 000 – please enquire
OUTLYING AREAS:

In some cases there will be an extra surcharge for courier delivery to deliver from the Globeflight depot to the outlying area. If you stay in a remote area it might be better to have the plants delivered to the depot (where you can collect) or to someone in town that you know. Otherwise the plants can still be delivered to you for an additional cost depending on your locality.

OPTIONAL EXTRA – INSURANCE:

We have had excellent service from the Courier Services over the years, but if you want to guarantee nothing goes wrong you can insure your parcel. Insurance is available at a rate of two per cent of the declared value to a maximum of R5 000.

TRACK AND TRACE

To track and trace your parcel go to the Globeflight website www.globeflight.co.za and follow the Track and Trace link and use your waybill number.
