A summer blooming, miniature to small sized, cool to warm growing Brazilian epiphyte that has ovoid, laterally compressed pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, oblong, obtuse leaf with a prominent midvein that blooms with a 2 flowered raceme occuring in nature in summer.

This species is a natural hybrid between L bicalhoi and L perrinii.

Cattleya - Tropical, Central and Southern America. Most Cattleyas are easy to grow and require warm to intermediate conditions. Bright light and a free draining potting mix give best results. While in active growth abundant water and frequent applications of fertiliser should be given
