Laelia is a showy genus related to the Cattleyas of about 75 species found from Cuba to Mexico through Central America to Brazil. Provide cool to intermediate temperature with bright light and ventilation all year round. They grow well in hanging baskets, clay pots and mounted on slabs or garden trees.
