ORIGIN/HABITAT: Java, Sumatra, Borneo.
Plants may be mounted on cork or a tree-fern slab if humidity is high and plants can be watered several times a day during hot, bright weather. Plants are generally grown in shallow pots or baskets.often. Coelogyne should be repotted as infrequently as possible because transplant shock may delay blooming for as long as 3 years, so a medium that breaks down slowly is very desirable. When repotting is required, however, it should be done just as new roots start to grow. This allows the plant to become reestablished in the shortest possible time. -- Source: Charles Baker
