PROSTHECHEA: A genus of about 120 species occurs from Brazil to Mexico. Originally classified as Encyclia but moved to Prosthechea that have spindle-shaped flattened pseudobulbs. Flowers usually non-resipunate. They prefer bright light, high humidity and good air movement and grow well mounted.
